Got the computer message on my 2017 Levante SQ4: Air suspension malfunction, Service immediately. Dealer has been working on it for 2 days now with no success, Any ideas?

That's interesting as I got that message on Saturday on my 2018 Levante that I just bought last week. The message went off but it does not seem like the air suspension is working. Bringing it into the dealer tomorrow. If I find anything out I will let you know.

An update for my original air suspension malfunction. The car has been in Grand Rapids, Michiagn dealer for last two weeks now! last news was they had to order new air suspension control module and all the hardware to go with it. I will update you as soon as I hear back from them. Apparently it was not just a sensor malfunction.

Mine has been in a week and I got an email from the dealer yesterday that they are testing the control module as they think that is the problem with mine. Sounds like the same issue. Hopefully will hear from them today. Did they tell you how long it will take to get the module?

Not a bad timeline for that sort of work and the parts they had to get. Unfortunately for someone else it might take that long just to wait for the parts. Even more of a reason for someone like me to keep sitting on the sidelines. If it was a higher volume product then I wouldn't be waiting as long.

As great as that is that you have your car back, don't you think its unacceptable to have to deal suspension issues on such a brand new vehicle? (especially a Maserati) Not encouraging to see two owners both experiencing the same problem, on vehicles that are a year apart in age. 16 days isn't a short period of time for your car to be in the shop. Do they know if it was the cold/snow that prompted the issue?

ANY new model, car will have certain issues come up and no one is excluded from this. When dealing with boutique brands such as Maserati, it may take a little longer for them so I don't see the need to be concern in "this" situation or to state whether something should be unacceptable or not.

if your car is within the warranty period, any air suspension issues such as these ought to be covered.

to update on issues like this, there have been a few iterations of Air suspension control module software updates released.

the time frames depend on what tech support advises should additionally be replaced beyond a software update and calibration addressing it.

one of the issues created is an overheated air pump, which can lead to premature failure later on down the road. preemptive replacement is advised at times, other times not so much. the module stores a count of overheat occurrences.
the hold ups occur in some of the necessary replacement components that are no re-usable; availability from suppliers becomes the wait.

Thank you for the information. They took the vehicle last Friday. The service didn’t get to it till yesterday afternoon, they said they saw some blown fuse but they still haven’t completed the full inspection.
The frustrating part is I don’t have a loaner and have to wait for a rental till Maserati approves.
It’s frustrating having a expensive car that I cannot use.

Hello, I purchased a pre-owned 2017 a year ago. At 44K miles I just got the Service Air Suspension System immediately message. The shop is now looking into it. On top of that. From time to time there's a high pitched noise when i press the brake while turning left or right pulling into a parking spot. It also happens when I slowly brake. I was told that is normal for a Levante because it's a high performance car.
When you feather the pedal (lightly tap on turns) there will be a high pitch squeal. This is due to feathering the pedal.
They also that if I hardly drive the car, this will happen since this is a performance vehicle and needs to be driven. Hs anyone experienced this? Is this true?

Seeing the same issue on my Levante 2018 at about 49900 mikes. Sent the car to the dealer. Any idea how long this type of repair takes? In the past, it has taken a few weeks to get other warranty work done, but at that time we had a loaner. This time we do not.

Had the same problem with my 2017 Levante S (back backend was stuck in highest position), brought it in to local mechanic he put it on computer and showed electrical error with Air Suspension module. He quoted me $2,000 to replace with new one!!! Made appointment with local Maserati dealership to bring in next week. In the mean time, went on line and did some research and someone mentioned to check Fuse for "ASCM module" (fuse #37) and "ASCM motor supply" (fuse #41). These are located in the fuse box is next to the spare tire and battery in rear storage. Checked both fuses and fuse #41 was blown!! Purchased new one at auto parts store for $5. Unbelievable!! Working good so far!!

I have a 2019 I bought from a dealer about a 1 1/2 years ago with 15K miles and a full length CPO warranty, drove it a year with zero issues, then one day it made a weird clicking kind of noise from the rear which jacked itself to highest position and then the air suspension light came on, took it to the shop as soon as they had a time available which was about a week or so later, they have had it 2 weeks (so far) and promise it will be ready Monday but I can’t complain as they did give me a loaded ‘22 Ghibli Modena loaner and said sorry this happened, we’ll do our best in the mean time please enjoy this car. They said the delay was twofold, approval from corporate to order all the parts and then the parts took a while. I have had 4 Masis over the last decade or so, a Cambio, Ghibli, GT and now this Levante. All great cars but I really love love love this “truck”, sooner would have been nice but as someone said in the thread perhaps the parts are a little harder to come by bc it’s not a recurring issue, to me the Levante for this rare instance is worth the wait and it’s been handled well by the dealer. Once it’s back in my hands and I‘ve had a chance to drive it a while I will repost. Wishing the others here a speedy recovery.

Quick update here, 3/20, got it back today, so day 1 after 2 weeks in the shop, she’s running like a dream, suspension (and I’ve been working it hard today), working perfectly.
