I am currently in the market for a used car and have come across a Maserati Levante from 2018 with a 3.0L V6 DOHC 24V engine. The asking price is $32,495, which seems reasonable considering the luxury brand and engine size. However, I am hesitant to make the purchase due to the title status of the vehicle, which is listed as salvage.

I am reaching out to the forum community to help me make a decision. Are salvage title cars worth buying, or should I steer clear? Are there any red flags I should be aware of when considering a salvage car? Additionally, has anyone had any experience with Maserati Levantes specifically and can provide insight into their reliability and maintenance costs?

While the price seems appealing, I do not want to invest in a car that may end up costing me more in the long run due to constant repairs or maintenance. I want to make sure I am making a smart and informed decision before moving forward with the purchase.

I would steer clear. I don't think it's worth the hassle. I look into another vehicle with a salvage title and when I asked my insurance company they said they would not insure it. I just bought a 2019 Base CPO with 10K miles on for 41K. Good luck with the search.

Salvage title car is fine but do your due diligence of the car and there are insurance company that will insured a rebuild title car.

I own a 2017 levante which I love! No maintenance issues it’s been solid. Sadly i need larger SUV and will be selling my car in case you’re interested only 24k miles

I own a 2019 Grand sport S. For 2 years, never had a problem, great drive, great sound, and great looks.
