Jaguar CX-17 in Dubai

It looks like the CX-17 SUV from Jaguar is going to be green lit, and rather soon. It showed up to the Dubai Motor show with a new color and new details.

Obviously the interior is very much a concept but the exterior looks to be of production quality already. Remember the F-type is unchanged from its first appearance as the CX-16 concept.

This is one attractive looking jaguar that will give the Levante a spectacular fight, more so than the Cayenne in my opinion...

As for the details:

4718 mm in length, 1,694 mm in width, 1,959 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,095 mm

Expect the 3.0 6 and 5.0 8 from the F-Type and the potential for a 4 cylinder Turbo...

This concept looks amazing, i can see the production model having an overall design that's very similar to this, more so with the higher trim production model.
This Jag looks like it will compete well in the rapidly expanding luxury SUV segment. It kinda looks similar to the rest in the crowd. I think it will win or lose based on its performance (which should be top notch) and its interior design.

Any idea when this will be on the market? Maybe around the same time as the Levante?
Cool stuff
Everyone jump on the bandwagon! hurry! its leaving!

I'm not sure what crowd you're looking at but the CX-17 resembles nothing I've ever seen, save the Jag F-type....

looks nothing like any BMW, Audi or Merc, the Cayenne is FUGLY and levante is doing its own thing...
anyone think they should have made the vents on the sides of the rear bumper the exhaust exists?

I think that the CX-17 looks pretty similar to the Levante. They both have a similar shape. Similar headlight design. Grille is the same shape with the emblem in the middle. The rear portion is the same shape and even has the little spoilter detail.

To be fair a lot of car makers are going with those big lower side vents, even a lower level luxury brand like Lexus is doing it. Mercedes has it, BMW has it, the list goes on. A lot of new cars share similar design cues, but execute it in their own unique way
I like how the back looks

hate how the front looks.

What don't you like about the front?
I love the front but just dislike the lighting in the lower vents, get rid of that and it will be perfect
The Tail lights are straight out of the F-Type.

The Front just seems like an enlarged Jaguar.

They could have tried to make it look a bit more different. Just seems like they took a regular Jaguar and made it taller in the front

If that cluster makes it to production though....

I can see it happening, tail lights close to the F-Type would work very well for it:

would have been cool if the center exhaust tips also made it onto the SUV

It would be, but also better it doesn't since people might prefer that the look you're talking about stays exclusive to the F-Type and no other Jag's
got to love the unveiling, the british sure do know how to showcase their vehicles, much better than the germans.
The back of the car looks nice. But I really think that people wont receive the front end that well. Its a nice unveiling. Good watch.

Maybe they will maybe they won't, i'd like to hear what some hardcore jaguar fans have to say about it
This Jag looks like a piece of crap compared to the Levante / Kubang concept. It's boring even compared to Jags other offerings. I expected much more from Jaguar/Rover... The only advantage it might have is on price. This is expected to be priced well below what the Levante / Kubang has been speculated to run....
