Ahead of the Levante's full production reveal at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show Maserati has confirmed that the Levante has entered the pre-production phase in Torino, Italy.
Details continue to remain sparse outside of knowing that Levante will ride on a modified version of the Ghibli and Quattroporte's platform. Its believed that the Levante will also borrow the 525 hp V8 twin turbo from the QP, likely as the most premium option.
Other potential engines include the new TT V6 from the Giulia QV, producing 500 hp or the rumoured 2.4L TT Hurricane engine.
Full production will begin in January post debut, with vehicles expected in stores before year end.
