Levante tiires

I recently sold my Ghibli as I couldn't deal with the low-profile tires anymore. They blew out too easily upon contact with any pothole or nail on the road. I would like to get a Levante but I am concerned about the 265/45 tires that come on the 20" wheels. They seem to be a much lower profile than is typical on an SUV, especially my Lexus 350RX. Has anyone had any experiences with these tires and does anyone have firsthand experience with their performance in snow?

Snow fine, and pretty sturdy, but don't dare accidentally hit a curb while parking, thing popped and deflated like a cheap balloon. $500 problem....

Curious. I have the 21s and I have curb checked the wheel to the point of needing the wheel reconditioned with no problem to the tires. I've also hit a few holes in the roads and bumps without issue thus far. I'm wondering if there's a difference between the Continentals I have on mine, and the Pirrelis I've seen equipped?
