Maserati is still working on its Levante crossover, and we have proof of that from recent spy shots that show the prototype testing.
This prototype is built on top of the same chassis that is used for the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans. It is likely using Maserati's Q4 all-wheel-drive system, rather than using an "off the shelf" AWD system.
Rumors say that the Levante will be a 2016 model, but we have as of yet not seen a prototype with an unfinished body. It's also possible that the Levante will be released in 2016 as a 2017 model. No official word yet though.
