Yup, I really can't remember if I've read a negative article on it which says quite a bit. I've already read discerning complaints about the Bentayga and that thing is starts at darn near a quarter-mil.

Good article -- indeed, all the articles are raving about this Truck. Business Insider was glowing, too.
Business Insider isn't exactly the most reputable blog for real automotive reviews and feedback. With a number of these out start to look for feedback from sources with a proven history of good reviews and a history of vehicles that makes their feedback that much more valuable.

TFL Truck is one good source.

I don't think anyone was suggesting Business Insider is Road & Track or Motor Trend. Some of us have news crawlers set for "Levante" and that was the article of the day. But it was a nice piece, with lots of pictures, dead on about the fantastic hydraulic steering and other aspects, and in line with all the other articles that have been glowing, except for the U.K. where they are saddled with a Diesel only right hand drive (agreed there, I had a Cayenne Diesel -- and will never, ever, sell my 2007 VW Touareg V10 TDI -- but my gas guzzling Levante S is spectacular).

Anyway, the news crawler keeps coming up with great reviews. NY Observer the other day, and this is my favorite line from some Arab Emirates mag yesterday:

"The first thing that you notice about the Levante is its gaping, basking-*shark-esque grill. It looks mighty mean, from the front at least. Mean as in fellow motorists will dive out of your way when confronted with its sight in their rear-view mirrors long before you have to consider anything as uncouth as flashing its scowling bi-xenon headlamps."

Got that right...

Agreed, I have a news filter set as well. I think it actually speaks volumes that the truck is actually getting the press it is, even from various sources which may not have covered this in the past. Sure there are more "formal" sources, but the truth really comes down to getting in one and test driving it yourself. I spent time with an S Model last weekend, and nothing but smiles the whole time. Hard charing into the turns, exhaust notes that are symphonic for a gear head like myself, and smooth and lovely at highway speeds. The hydraulic steering is fantastic in my opinion, feedback makes you feel a bit more alive. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, but was told, it's probably another three to four months for those sport seats now. After spending a day with one, the wait is definitely worth it.
