Need advice on custom order Levante S

3570 Views 8 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  multaxcoo
I am about to place an order for a fully loaded Levante S with 21" wheels @ $104k and I am looking for any and all advice.

Do you regret getting (or not getting) a certain color or certain options?

Any must get (or must not get) options?

Thanks,

It's my understanding that the 21" wheels are only available with "summer" tires...at least that's what I was told when I ordered my "S" back in July, 2016.
One option that I am very happy I ordered are the rails in the cargo area. I added (from Maserati) the accessory "cross bar" and it really finished off the cargo area! Looks great!
Whatever, you are going to LOVE the car!
Joe,

Thanks so much for responding. It is my understanding as well that 21" are not all season. Thanks for the cargo area tip.

Correct, I have the 21's and they come with summer tires (Continentals on mine.) You really can't go wrong with the color options etc, as all of the trucks I've seen have been gorgeous. The sport seats do not come with adjustable headrest, just an FYI, if that's important to you, you may want to opt for the luxury seats which have manual adjustable headrests I'm told. You won't be disappointed, the truck is an absolute blast to drive, it turns heads, and is just beautiful in person.

I love my Verde Ossido S, which has as its only option 20" wheels. I was worried -- especially in NYC -- about 21" as I have been warned they will blow out on the smallest potholes, $300 a pop (literally). The only two options I regret passing on are not upgrading the stereo (very stupid) and the heated steering wheel (I can live without it, but last week I noticed). That is, it's pretty sweet stock and at around $80k, it's a bargain.

Check the Verde color, it's a bad ass green- grey -- but not if you live in my Greenwich Village neighborhood! Pictures posted here if you click around.
The harmon-Kardon sound system is a disappointment. Def upgrade to the higher option.
The embroidered tridents in headrest are a must.

We got Grigio Metallo with Rosso interior and it looks amazing! I posted pics in the other forum.
Get the TRAILER Hitch option.....its hidden from view when not in use...BUT, if you ever need it, its there...You CAN NOT Retrofit one later I was told by Maserati......I had to order my levante with the hitch, to get one....It is a SUV, its nice to tow something once and a while, plus it will help resale.....we have a few boats . If you don't need it, the next owner might want it :D

I was worried about the tires on the 21s but honestly there's quite a bit of sidewall on mine. I'll try to upload some pics. They came with Continentals.

Not a big issue for me but be aware that adding the 4 zone rear climate control option removes the
heated and cooled storage compartment in the center console.
