it isn't so much the A/C, it is the temperature setting selected and whether that can be maintained with the coolant not circulating and/or the a/c not operating for a moment. you can have the a/c on set to 70 and if it is 70 in the cabin it'll still start stop. it'll start back up sooner than taking your foot off the brake if the cabin temp rises.Also if the AC is on it doesn't work. They want you to remain comfortable so they will not turn off your AC to save gas.
