I think it would be a big mistake to not have these at all, they are just about the easiest to access compared to other models running paddles. its the one thing Maserati got right! Glad to see people here are getting them.
We have added paddle shifters to mutiple GB & QP...in doing so we had to change the clockspring. I can check to see what is involved to add them to the LeVante.
WHen I ordered back in Sept/Oct 2016 for some reason this option was not showing up on the configurator... And then by the time I realized it was an option it was too late to change my order.
I actually made it a point to order mine without the paddles. I think they are in the way of other controls. I was told they could be added pretty easily but then again, this came from the company that sold my ordered Levante out from under me so take it as "hearsay".
That's not the first time I heard of someone suggesting the same thing about the paddles.
Looks like Maserati could have done a much better job here. I guess we can cut them some slack since they're still in the start up phase.
I know it has been a while but did all work out ok wi`the added paddle shifters? I'm trying to find a dealership to do this for me and it has been very difficutl. Some say it isnt possible.
Paddles are not in a good position, they should not be stationary. They need to move with the steering wheel. How do you shift in the middle of a turn? My SRT jeep moved with the wheel.
