Snow Chains?
Slightly different from the other thread here. Has anyone had any luck with snow chains?
My Levante has 295/40R20's. The money-is-no-object option are the Konig K-Summit K77's which run about $600 a pair. Alternatively the Security Chain / Peerless Z-579 Z-Chain's are $100. I'm intending to get some chains only for emergencies in Lake Tahoe. Generally in Tahoe, you don't need chains if you have AWD/4WD and they often just close the roads entirely if the conditions get worse. I've never had to put on chains when we went up there with our Cayenne S in the past so I'm leaning towards the Z-597's as emergency and pocketing the rest to hole up in a hotel for a night if I have to.
